Once per game the Shapeshifter, instead of the wolfpack killing a player, can make their target a wolf and the Shapeshifter dies that night instead. This has the effect of making a village aligned player now a member of the wolfpack, which removes their old role and makes them a Werewolf. The new member is woken up and shown the members of the Wolfpack.

The Shapeshifter dies but will still win with their team.

Useful Notes

  • The Shapeshifter is third in the Wolfpack Priority list. This means that if there is no Alphawolf or Werewolf alive, they are responsible for the Wolfpack kill and any consequences of that (e.g. being killed by a Guardian)
  • To be successful the shifted target must be eligible to die that night - you cannot shift a player who is protected or otherwise unable to be killed that night.
  • Shifted players lose their role that night and so do not perform it. This means a role like Diseased will not trigger if they are killed because they aren't dead but are instead transformed into a member of the Wolfpack
  • Shifted players become the role Werewolf
  • Any intel roles such as Seer, Adjudicator and Power Seer (and any others) will see the player as they were at the start of the night. This means a player shifted that night retains the attributes of their former role for that night. The next night onwards they will appear as a Werewolf.

Note that it is against the rules to claim or talk about specific details seen on the screen at night (e.g you cannot describe how it looks to prove you are a role), so the screens below are presented to help players understand the role and how it works. In addition, screens do get updated and may not look exactly as they do here.
