New Player Advice
* The Mason Leader is a very powerful role as it allows you to 100% confirm one person in the game, and they can confirm you in return.
* Evil players can claim to be Masons as well so it doesn't clear the Mason Leader and their recruit to the rest of the players.
* Masons are strong deterrents to a Shapeshifter so evil players need to be careful when using this role
* It can be a good idea to hold off recruiting a day or two, so that you're not picking randomly and can choose someone you think is village.

Useful Notes
* The Mason Leader will only wake up on nights where the Wolfpack can kill, so in games where there is no first night Wolfpack kill, they will not wake up and will be unable to recruit.

* The Gravedigger is powerful but usually doesn't have a lot of information for the first couple of days as there are no corpses to dig. Try to survive by not being too obvious you have a role until you get some information.
* Because the Gravedigger can see the exact role, and therefore if the village execute someone who has been checked by another power role as a wolf/killer, you can not only confirm that power role but reveal if the kill was successful or not.

* The information you can give as the mortician can help the village know how well they are doing. It's especially important to look at who did - and did not - vote for certain people. If you find out you may have killed a wolf the previous day, perhaps look at who didn't want that to happen.
* Remember that like all roles that check alignment, you cannot tell the difference between a Direwolf and a villager, or a Scapegoat and a wolf. Your information is not 100% accurate.
* As with all role claims, knowing when to claim and when to wait is a skill that takes time to learn. If you have information you think is valuable to the village then sometimes coming out with that information is more important than your life - but if you wait then you might live longer to get even more useful information. Alternatively you might die before giving any of it.

Useful Notes
* Players who are executed whilst under the effects of the Bloodletter will still look like Werewolves to you.
* Whilst you cannot be blocked by the Direwolf as you don't visit any players, if there are any other sources of role-Block in the game, you can be prevented from getting your check.
If you have information you think is valuable to the village then sometimes coming out with that information is more important than your life - but if you wait then you might live longer to get even more useful information. Alternatively you might die before giving any of it. This is especially true with the Balloonist as until you get all four checks you can never be sure if the werewolf was among them.
Useful Notes
* The order of groups given is randomised
* The Arcanist can be very strong when your ability is chained, - e.g. comparing Player A and Player B one night, then Player B & Player C the following night.
* Your checks are often most useful in conjunction with other information, such as a claim of a power role or claimed intel from someone else. If Player's A & B both claim a power role and are appearing as Different then unless their role claim is expected to be different, it's an indication one of them is lying.
* As with all role claims, knowing when to claim and when to wait is a skill that takes time to learn. If you have information you think is valuable to the village then sometimes coming out with that information is more important than your life - but if you wait then you might live longer to get even more useful information. Alternatively you might die before giving any of it.
They are then told if that player appears to be a member of the Wolfpack or the Village. They are not told anything about the role of the player they check, only their apparent alignment. * The Seer is one of the most powerful roles that the Village have, therefore knowing when to reveal your information is the biggest decision you'll make. There are some roles and abilities that can make your information not 100% reliable, so a wolf check is not always an indication someone is evil, but could be worth revealing if you think it helps the village to execute the right players. As with all intel roles, the decision to stay hidden and hope for more information versus the risk of dying before giving any of it is a tricky choice to make.

Useful Notes
The Villager is the basic role of the Village faction. Villagers are often numerous in any particular game and have no special night abilities. The role of villagers is to use their combined numbers to vote together to kill evil players. If villagers can work out who is on their team through social deduction, their combined voting power is significant and can be used to turn the tide of the game towards the Village.
There are roles in the game that make it matter which specific player is seen to be taking an action. These are roles like the Guardian and the Stalker. If a role needs to know which specific wolf took the action of the night kill from the day before then whichever living wolf is highest in the priority list will be seen.

Priority for killing:

1) Omegawolf
2) Berserker
3) Werewolf
4) Alphawolf
5) Shapeshifter
6) Bloodthirster

When there are no more wolves from the killing priority list alive, the remaining wolves begin turning into a regular Werewolf role. The order in which this happens is:

1) Psion
2) Bloodhound
3) Bloodletter
Once per game the Shapeshifter, instead of the wolfpack killing a player, can make their target a wolf and the Shapeshifter dies that night instead. This has the effect of making a village aligned player now a member of the wolfpack, which removes their old role and makes them a Werewolf. The new member is woken up and shown the members of the Wolfpack.

The Shapeshifter dies but will still win with their team.
Useful Notes
* The Shapeshifter is third in the Wolfpack Priority list. This means that if there is no Alphawolf or Werewolf alive, they are responsible for the Wolfpack kill and any consequences of that (e.g. being killed by a Guardian)
* To be successful the shifted target must be eligible to die that night - you cannot shift a player who is protected or otherwise unable to be killed that night.
* Shifted players lose their role that night and so do not perform it. This means a role like Diseased will not trigger if they are killed because they aren't dead but are instead transformed into a member of the Wolfpack
* Shifted players become the role Werewolf
* Any intel roles such as Seer, Adjudicator and Power Seer (and any others) will see the player as they were at the start of the night. This means a player shifted that night retains the attributes of their former role for that night. The next night onwards they will appear as a Werewolf.
